I have no idea what I want. But He knows what's best for me!

Y'know how as a kid, you always get asked,
"So what do you wanna be when you grow up?"
Well, for me, personally, maybe I'm thinking too deep. But I always thought "there are so many jobs out there that I don't even know exist. If I don't know that job, how can I want to be that person?"
And even today, I realize that's me still. Or rather, I don't even know what I want to do or like to do. I just know its in the media field.
Going to Hillsong college, I learnt to do a LOT of video work that I had no clue about. Like, what is a CCU? IMAG? Sr Op? ISO switch? Producer? Production manager? Creative producer? Etc!!
Ask me 2 yrs ago and I couldn't give you exact answers as to what those positions meant. And I doubt 98% of all the ppl you personally know can answer all of them correctly.
But now I know. I know those positions exist. Do I enjoy doing them? Yes, only because I have been trained and know what to do. Did I always enjoy them? No. I was terrified actually. Scared, dunno what's going on, don't wanna mess up, but want to do my best...
But once I was trained and knew the positions well, it was actually fun!
This is happening again now at Harvest. Learning new things, not sure what to expect, in all areas of production (visuals, lighting, sound, IT, web, etc).  I was only highly trained in the video area. All the other areas I know from hobbies/interest, and some minor experience from high school days and playing around with the systems thruout my church life.
But it's never about what I want to do. It's about what the ministry needs. That's what I'll learn to do, and do it well. Help build the church. :)
So I still dunno what I want to do, but God knows what will grow the Kingdom. And all I can do is say "yes Lord. Here I am, use me" and enjoy the journey.
No use being grumpy! :)
Good times this past week at harvest. I had 2 days to learn the lighting console, ended up doing lighting for 2 Sunday services. Hahaha. Oh well :)

PS. yeah. thats the update now. back in Toronto, currently serving as the Media & Production coordinator at HBCYR :)
PPS. so blessed. freshly graduated, doing pretty much exactly what i studied, AND at my own home church :)
